WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross men's lacrosse freshman attacker
Aedan Cassidy was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Cassidy finished Saturday's win over Lafayette with three points on two goals and an assist. Cassidy scored the goal to cut the Lafayette lead to 2-1 in the first and tie the game at 8-8 in the fourth, and assisted on
Jude Lynch's goal in the first to cut the Lafayette lead to 3-2.
A now two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week, Cassidy has picked up at least a point in all eight of the Crusaders' games, and leads the squad in goals (13) and is tied for the lead in points (20).
Cassidy and the Crusaders (5-3, 2-1 PL) return to action on Saturday, March 21 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to face Lehigh at 12 p.m.
