WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross men's lacrosse freshman attacker
Aedan Cassidy and senior defender
Michael Rincon were named to the NEILA Division I/II Team of the Week for the week of March 16.
Cassidy finished Saturday's win over Lafayette with three points on two goals and an assist. Cassidy scored the goal to cut the Lafayette lead to 2-1 in the first and tie the game at 8-8 in the fourth, and assisted on
Jude Lynch's goal in the first to cut the Lafayette lead to 3-2. This is his second NEILA Team of the Week selection.
Rincon recorded four ground ball pickups and tied for the game-lead with three caused turnovers in the 11-9 win over Lafayette on Saturday. Rincon also notched his first career point when he assisted on Cassidy's goal in the first quarter.
Cassidy, Rincon, and the Crusaders (5-3, 2-1 PL) return to action on Saturday, March 21 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to face Lehigh at 12 p.m.
