THE BASICS 
Score: Springfield 161, Holy Cross 137
Location: Art Linkletter Natatorium (Springfield, Mass.) 
The Lead: Freshman Jake Sbarbaro (Lakewood, Colo.) and junior Tyler Wright (Waterboro, Maine) led the team with two first-place finishes a piece as the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team fell to Springfield 161-137 at the Art Linkletter Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. Sbarbaro finished first in the 100 and 200 freestyle while Wright took first in the 100 and 200 butterfly. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Holy Cross had eight first places finishes on the day. 
• Both the 400 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams posted first place finishes. The 400 medley team comprised of Wright, sophomore Andrew Higgins (Summit, N.J.), Sbarbaro and sophomore Alex Young (Natick, Mass.) finished with a time of 3:41.98. 
• The 200 freestyle relay team consisting of freshman Geneth Chin (South Winston, Conn.), Sbarbaro, Wright and Young touched the wall in first at 1:30.71. 
• Junior David Mullany (Monroe, Conn.) swam to a first place finish in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:43.59 with freshman Hayden Kucharski (Bloomfield, N.J.) following in second at 10:52.63. 
• Sbarbaro had two first-place finishes coming in the 100 and 200 freestyle, touching the wall at 48.68 and 1:46.63, respectively. 
• Wright also swam to two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 butterfly with times of 53.53 and 2:04.99. 
• Kucharski finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.62. 
• On the diving side, junior Rob Chevalier had the top finish for the Crusaders in the three meter dive, scoring 173.94 points and a fourth place finish.

• The Crusaders return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 1 as they host Fairfield for the SGA Game of the Week at 1:00 p.m.
