ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Senior
Jack Greiner set new program records in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley, as the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving squad competed in day two of the Patriot League Championship at Lejeune Hall. Through seven events, the Crusaders stand in seventh place as a team with 202 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Greiner placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:47.17, after shattering the all-time program record in the preliminaries (1:46.12).
• The 400-yard medley relay team of Greiner, senior
Zach Bubonovich, freshman
Andrew Villani and sophomore
Peter Mottolese also set a new school record with their seventh-place time of 3:17.02.
• In addition, Greiner's leadoff split of 49.63 on that relay set a new school record in the 100-yard backstroke.
• Bubonovich came in 22nd in the 200-yard individual medley (1:51.57).
• Junior
Austin Cutcher finished 24th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:38.19).
• Villani was 24th in the 50-yard freestyle (20.88).
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will continue competition in the Patriot League Championship on Friday, Feb. 20.
