ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving squad broke four school records on day four, as it finished up competition in the Patriot League Championship at Lejeune Hall. The Crusaders wrapped up the weekend in seventh place with 453 points, good for their highest team finish since the conference expanded to 10 teams.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Senior
Jack Greiner took fourth place in the 200-yard butterfly (1:46.23), with his preliminary time of 1:46.09 breaking the program record.
• Senior
Zach Bubonovich came in 13 th in the 200-yard breaststroke (1:59.97), after breaking the school record with a time of 1:59.32 in the preliminaries.
• Junior
Austin Cutcher finished 16th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:53.93), with his split of 9:28.44 setting a new school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
• The 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore
Peter Mottolese, junior
Will Clark, junior
Jake Thompson and Greiner placed seventh in a school-record time of 3:00.42.
• Freshman
Anderson Bishop placed 14th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:49.05).
• Freshman
Ethan Steichen came in 18th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.65).
• Sophomore
Ryan Morris took 22nd place in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:25.78).
• Senior
Jack Sorenson was 22nd in the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.99).
• Senior
Quentin Miquel finished 23rd in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.10).
• Clark placed 24th in the 100-yard freestyle (45.77).
