WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed at the Eastern Sprints at Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday.
The varsity 8+ finished fifth in its heat with a time of 5:57.590, earning a spot in the third final where they finished second with a time of 5:52.189, 1.8 seconds ahead of Navy.
The second varsity 8+ finished fifth in its heat with a time of 5:58.398, before finishing second in the third final with a time of 6:05.965.
The third varsity 8+ finished fifth in its heat with a time of 6:05.104, earning a spot in the third final, where they won with a time of 6:25. 207.
The varsity 4+ finished fourth in the grand final with a time of 7:23.371, 2.6 seconds ahead of Wisconsin.
Holy Cross will travel to Gold River, Calif. for the IRA National Championship from Friday, May 29 - Sunday, May 31 at Lake Natoma.
