Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athlete (2023)

2024-2025 (Junior):
  • Competed in all four fall events.
    • Finished third in the Collegiate 8+ with the 2nd Varsity 8+ at the Head of the Snake (10/5).
    • Helped team to an 11th-place finish with the Club 8+ at the Head of the Charles (10/20).
    • Finished fourth in the Collegiate 8+ with the 2nd Varsity 8+ at the Wormtown Chase (10/26).
    • Competed in the Men's 8+ with the 2nd Varsity 8+ at the Princeton Chase (11/3).

2023-2024 (Sophomore):

  • Competed in three fall races.
    • Helped the second varsity 8+ to a 12th-place finish at the Head of the Charles (10/21).
    • Placed second with the third varsity 8+ at the Wormtown Chase (10/28).
    • Placed 19th at the Princeton Chase (11/5) with the second varsity 8+.
  • Competed in six spring races with the second varsity eight.
    • Defeated MIT at the Alumni Cup (3/30), placed fourth at the Occoquan Invitational (4/14), finished third in home invitational against no.13 Boston U., no. 22 Temple, Marist, and Hobart (4/20), competed against no. 8 Pennsylvania and no. 14 Cornell (5/3), no. 22 Oregon St. (5/4), and at the Eastern Sprints (5/19).
2022-2023 (Freshman):
  • Helped the fourth varsity eight to sixth at the Wormtown Chase Regatta (10/29) and 38th at the Princeton Chase Regatta (11/6).
  • Competed in eight spring races.
    • Raced with the fourth varsity eight at the Alumni Cup (4/1).
    • Helped the third varsity eight to wins over St. Joe's (4/22), Hobart (4/23), and Oregon St. (4/29).
    • Member of the 3V8 that won the New England Championship (5/6).
  • Named an Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athlete.

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
  • Rowed four years on varsity at Montgomery Bell Academy under head coach Rich Kesor.
  • Served as team captain as a senior.
  • Earned Most Improved Award as a freshman, and the Coach's Choice Award as a senior.
  • Broke and set the fastest 2k time in school history as a freshman, junior, and senior.
  • Was also a varsity swimmer for three years.
PERSONAL:
  • Son of Diane and Eric Meier.
  • Has two siblings, Thomas and Mary Cecilia.
  • Majoring in Chemistry.
