Gentchos claims silver medal on day two of NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON- Sophomore Josh Gentchos earned the silver medal in the men's 200m dash, highlighting the final day for the Holy Cross men's track and field team at the 2026 NEICAAA Championships on Saturday, Mar. 7.

Gentchos improved two spots from Friday's prelims after qualifying with a time of 22.09. In the finals, he clocked in at 22.12 to take second.

As a team, the Crusaders finished 17th out of 23 competing schools with 11 total points.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Sophomore Josh Gentchos finished second in the 200m dash with a time of 22.12.
Sophomore Lewis O'Connor raced to an eighth place finish in the 3,000m with a time of 8:37.19.
Sophomores Robert Foster and Jack Larkin logged top 20 finishes in the mile. Foster placed 15th with a time of 4:20.95.
Freshman Nic Oglesby earned seventh in the high jump after clearing 1.96m.

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will open outdoor season on Friday, Mar. 27 at Bryant University, competing in the Black and Gold Invitational.
