Holy Cross vs. Loyola next up Saturday at Hart Center Arena

National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration coupled with Alumnae Day planned for 2 p.m. match-up.

OPENING TIP:
• Holy Cross returns home to host Loyola Maryland on Saturday at 2 p.m. on ESPN+ at Hart Center Arena.
• The game, which marks the Crusaders' penultimate home game, is National Girls and Women in Sports Day as well as Alumnae Day at Hart Center Arena.

HOLY CROSS NOTES: 
• The Crusaders bounced back from a road loss to Lehigh with a balanced victory at Colage on Wednesday to enter the weekend 15-9 overall and 9-4 in the Patriot League.
• Six Crusaders scored nine or more points in the win with Kaitlyn Flanagan leading four players in double figures with 15.
• Meg Cahalan remains Holy Cross' only scorer averaging double figures at 15.1 points per game. Cahalan (14) joined Flanagan in double digits at Colgate along with Simone Foreman (12) and Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly (10).
• Donnelly's 14 rebounds marked a season-high as she recorded her third career double-double. Her 6.3 rebounds per game trail only Simone Foreman (7.6) on the HC roster. As a team, the Crusaders rank second in the Patriot League at 35.9 per game.
• The top half of the Patriot League standings all won on Wednesday night over the bottom half as Holy Cross remains three games back of Navy (12-1). The Crusaders own the league's lone win over the Mids (Jan. 3). Army (10-3) sits in third with Lehigh (9-4) owning the season series over HC in a tie for third.

THE HC-LOYOLA SERIES:
• Holy Cross leads the all-time series against Loyola, 17-8, including 16-7 in Patriot League games since the Greyhounds joined the league in 2013.
• The Crusaders have won 12 of the last 13 match-ups since 2019.
• In the last Holy Cross-Loyola (Jan. 1, 2025) match-up, the Crusaders dominated a 53-27, wire-to-wire victory at Hart Center Arena. The 27 points allowed established a new program record for fewest points allowed in a game; previously 29 vs, Army (Jan. 20, 1996).
• Cahalan scored a game-high 17 points in the 2025 win with three three-pointers and three blocks. 

SINCE JANUARY 24:
• The Crusaders are 5-1 since picking up a road win at American on Jan. 24, 70-58. Holy Cross started that stretch with four consecutive wins and bounced back from the one loss to Lehigh (Feb. 7) with a win at Colgate (Feb. 11).
• Over that stretch, the Crusaders are outscoring opponents 64.8-56.5 and have dominated the fourth quarter and overtime; outscoring the opposition 139-97.
• Holy Cross had held its opponents to a 36.4 field-goal percentage, while shooting 43.1%.
• Cahalan (16.8) and Flanagan (11.5) have each seen an uptick in scoring, while Donnelly has averaged 8.0 points and 8.2 rebounds in the last six games.

THE SENIOR CLASS:
• Holy Cross' roster includes four seniors; all starters and four-year contributors. Meg Cahalan, Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly, Kaitlyn Flanagan and Simone Foreman all suit up for their second-to-last home game at Hart Center Arena on Saturday.
• The seniors have collectively averaged 37.6 points per game this season.
• Over their four year careers, Cahalan (753), Donnelly (479), Flanagan (989) and Foreman (846) have combined for 3,067 points.  Additionally, they are 79-43 overall and 44-23 in Patriot League play throughout their careers.
