BETHLETHEM, Pa. -- The Holy Cross women's basketball team saw its four-game win streak snapped in a 73-61 loss to Lehigh at Stabler Arena on Saturday evening. The loss dropped the Crusaders to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in the Patriot League, while the Mountain Hawks improved to 12-10 and 8-4.
Holy Cross and Lehigh are now tied for third in the league with Lehigh owning a sweep in the season series.
After an early back-and-forth, Lehigh utilized a 15-0 run that bridged the first quarter and second quarter en route to a 24-12 lead and never looked back. The lead increased to 35-20 by halftime and the Mountain Hawks' largest lead of the day came at 48-26 midway through the third.
Belle Bramer was one of four Lehigh players in double figures and paced all players with 21 points on 7-for-11 from the field, 3-for-5 from three and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line. Whitney Lind was second on the team with 17, while Gracyn Lovette and Lily Fandre chipped in with 13 and 12, respectively.Â
For the Crusaders,
Meg Cahalan went 7-for-10 from the field in an 18-point effort.
Kaitlyn Flanagan contributed 14 points and four assists, while
Simone Foreman was the third player in double figures with 11 to go with eight boards. Cahalan pushed her season total to 333 points a career-high, surpassing her 324 total points she scored while averaging 10.5 per game as a junior. She remains Holy Cross' top scorer on the season at 15.1 per game.
Flanagan reached 500 career assists, becoming the seventh player in program history to reach the milestone. She started the season outside of Holy Cross' top-10 all-time and now sits at an even 500; 32 back of Anna Kinne (1996-2000) for sixth in the record book.

- Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly led HC in rebounds for the 10th time this season with a game-high nine.
- Flanagan scored in double figures for the eighth time this season.

- Holy Cross went 14-for-17 (82.4%) at the free throw line, shooting better than 80% from the stripe for the eighth game this season.
