Crusaders Take Four-Game Win Streak to Lehigh

Holy Cross aims to even season series against the Mountain Hawks on Saturday.

Winners of four straight, the Holy Cross women's basketball team visits Lehigh on Saturday evening at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa. with tip-off set for 4 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

HOLY CROSS NOTES:
• The Crusaders have won four in a row; one behind their longest win streak of the season at five from Dec. 7 to Jan. 3. The four consecutive wins in Patriot League play are the most since winning five straight from Jan. 11-25, 2025.
• Holy Cross is 5-5 on the road this season, including a 70-58 win at American (Jan. 24) to start the Crusaders' current win streak. Saturday marks a stretch of five out of seven games on the road to end the regular season leading into the Patriot League Tournament.
• Holy Cross dispatched visiting BU (Feb. 2), 60-46, to claim the Cousy Cup and Turnpike Trophy in a nationally-televised game on CBS Sports Network. Meg Cahalan led all players with 23 points and the Crusader defense held the Terriers to single-digit scoring in the first and fourth quarters.
• The Crusaders have held an opponent to 60 points or less in 12 of their 14 games dating back to Dec. 7.
• The Crusaders are 14-8 overall and 8-3 in the Patriot League; two games back of Navy for first-place in the standings. Holy Cross handed Navy its only league loss on Jan. 3 in Annapolis. The Crusaders are currently tied for second with Army with the two sides splitting the season series, each with a home win.

ABOUT LEHIGH:
• Lehigh is 11-10 overall and 7-4 in the Patriot League after a 63-62 win over Loyola Maryland, won on a free-throw from Gracyn Lovette with 10 seconds left in the game. The Mountain Hawks led by as many as nine and had to stave off a Greyhound comeback.

• Forward Lily Fandre is Lehigh's leading scorer at 15.9 points per game. to go with 4.3 rebounds and a team-high 33 three-pointers made.
• Five Lehigh players are averaging in double figures with Whitney Ling (13.9), Leia Edwards (13.4), Jessie Ozzauto (12.5) and Belle Bramer (11.4) rounding out the top-five. Edwards is the team's top rebounder at 7.7 per game, while Lovette, who averaged 7.6 points, dishes out 3.7 assists per game.

FOURTH-QUARTER SUCCESS:
• The Crusaders outscored Army by a decisive 26-10 margin in the fourth quarter en route to the 63-48 victory over the Black Knights last Saturday in Worcester. Holy Cross followed up by outscoring BU 15-9 in the fourth on Monday.
• During the Crusaders' current four-game win streak, Holy Cross is outscoring opponents 90-54 in the fourth quarter and overtime. In that stretch, HC was outscored in the fourth by Colgate, 18-16, but defeated the Raiders by dominating overtime, 15-5.

CAHALAN LEADS THE WAY:
Meg Cahalan led Holy Cross with 23 points on 8-for-17 shooting from the floor and 6-for-7 from the charity stripe in just 20 minutes of action vs. BU (Feb. 2). The 23-point effort marked her sixth 20-point game of the season.
• Cahalan has led Holy Cross in scoring in 11 games this season.
• Cahalan's 25-point effort in the win at American on Jan. 24 matched her career-high that had been set earlier this season in a game against Rhode Island on Nov. 19 and her fifth 20-point game of the season.
• The 11 made field goals for Cahalan were also the most by a Crusader since Bronagh Power-Cassidy made 11 in a win over Lafayette on Mar. 6, 2024.
