Anderson Bishop and senior
Jack Greiner both won two individual events, to lead the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team to a 162.5-78.5 victory over Providence at Taylor Natatorium. Crusaders improve to 5-2 on the year with the win, while the Friars fall to 0-6 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Bishop won both the 400-meter freestyle (4:11.40) and the 800-meter freestyle (8:45.06).
• Greiner posted first-place finishes in the 200-meter freestyle (1:53.98) and the 200-meter butterfly (2:06.16).
• Junior
Luke Parada set a school-record with his score of 316.80 in the second round of one-meter diving, while sophomore
Griffin Casey won the first round of one-meter diving with a score of 298.13).
• Other Crusaders to win individual events included senior
Zach Bubonovich (200-meter breaststroke / 2:23.81), junior
Will Clark (50-meter freestyle / 24.18), sophomore
Peter Mottolese (100-meter freestyle / 52.42) and freshman
Ethan Steichen (200-meter backstroke / 2:09.72).
• In addition, Holy Cross claimed first place in both the 400-meter medley relay (3:51.84 / Greiner, Bubonvich, freshman
Andrew Villani and junior
Jake Thompson) and the 400-meter freestyle relay (3:32.43 / Mottolese, freshman
Cole Abril, Clark and Thompson).

• Holy Cross will return to action next weekend, when it takes part in the Boston University Winter Open on Feb. 6 and 7.
