WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross field hockey junior
Saskia Williams was named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, as voted on by the Patriot League coaches and announced by the league offices Monday afternoon.
Williams recorded three points over the Crusaders' two contests this weekend, logging 83 minutes in the midfield. On Friday against Providence, Williams assisted on fellow junior
Maguire Sturgis' goal in the third quarter to give Holy Cross the 1-0 lead. On Sunday, Williams found the back of the net early in the opening frame to tie the game up at 1-1 against Northeastern.
Holy Cross (1-3, 0-0 PL) will return home to the Hart Turf Field on Friday, Sept. 12 when they welcome Stonehill at 6 p.m. for First Responders Night.
