Box Score DEDHAM, Mass. - The Holy Cross field hockey team fell to Northeastern, 4-2, Sunday afternoon at Dedham Field.

Northeastern improves to 3-0 on the season with the win, while Holy Cross moves to 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Northeastern got on the board 2:16 into the first quarter.
• Junior Saskia Williams responded just over a minute later with a score on the penalty corner, with the assists going to sophomore Jocelyn Monti and junior Marissa MacLean.
• Northeastern responded twenty seconds later to retake the lead, 2-1, before extending it to 4-1 with a pair of goals in the third quarter.
• The Crusaders cut the Huskies' lead in half with 42 seconds to play on a tip-in goal by senior Julia Carrozza off a shot by fellow senior Megan Schienbein.

BEYOND THE BOX:

• Sophomore Mia McCloskey made six saves in the contest.
• Each team took 15 shots and drew seven corners on the day.

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will return home to face Stonehill on Friday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.
• The team will celebrate First Responders Night prior to the game.
