WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team is proud to announce the launch of its Uplifting Athletes chapter, and will hold its inaugural Lift for Life on April 28. This event marks the beginning of the team's commitment to using their platform to support the rare disease community through awareness and fundraising.
Lift for Life is part of a nationwide initiative where athletes turn their strength into action, supporting those impacted by rare diseases. By starting this chapter, the Holy Cross men's soccer team joins a network of athletes across the country dedicated to making a difference.
"Uplifting Athletes empowers athletes to conquer rare diseases, one workout at a time," said Uplifting Athletes general manager Brett Brackett. "Though challenges remain – with thousands of rare diseases seeking cures – one workout at a time, we will rewrite the future for rare diseases."
For the 2025 Lift for Life event, the Holy Cross men's soccer chapter has set a fundraising goal of $3000. They are calling on fans, family, friends and the entire Crusader community to rally behind the cause. Every donation fuels progress—every rep completed is a step toward a brighter future for the 30 million Americans living with a rare disease.
Uplifting Athletes is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 that harnesses the power of sport to build a community that invests in the lives of the more than 30 million people impacted by rare diseases in America. Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $11 million by engaging athletes in order to positively impact the rare disease community through driving action, awareness and funding research.
