Men’s basketball hosts Regis (Mass.) Tuesday evening

The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns to the Hart Center Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 9 with a three-game winning streak to take on Regis (Mass.) at 6 p.m. The contest will stream live on ESPN+ with Kevin Gehl (play-by-play) and Jacob VanRyn (analyst) on the call.

During the game we will honor first responders. First responders can claim up to two free tickets to the game. Students who attend the game can take a study break and receive an exclusive food item when attending the game.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (4-6, 0-0 PL): 
  • Holy Cross heads back home following a 16-point comeback victory defeating Fordham 70-69 Saturday afternoon in Rose Hill Gym. Junior guard Gabe Warren scored a career-high 25 points with personal-bests in rebounds (8) three-pointers (6) and free throws (5) across 39 minutes of action. The Crusaders trailed by 12 points with 4:42 left and went on a game-winning 15-2 run.
  • This was the first win for the Crusaders when they trailed by more than 15 points since a 96-95 win over Lehigh (trailed 59-42) on Jan. 22, 2020.
  • Warren was named Patriot League honorable mention on Monday. Warren averaged 18.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks across 35.3 minutes per game and shot 45.8% (11-for-24) from the floor, 70.0% (7-of-10) from deep, and 72.7% (8-of-11) at the line. He tied for the Patriot League lead in steals per game (2.5), while ranking third in three-point percentage (70.0), fourth in three-pointers (7), fifth in minutes per game (35.3), tied for sixth in scoring (18.5), tied for seventh in blocks per game (1.0) and tied for 10th in rebounding (6.0) for the week ending Dec. 7.
  • Junior guard/forward Joe Nugent moved to fifth place on the program's all-time three-point list in the win over Northeastern (Dec. 3) going 2-for-4 (50 percent) from downtown. Nugent has 160 career three-pointers and needs 14 more to climb to fourth place on the all-time list (173, Andrew Beinert (2007-11) and 63 to become the program's all-time leader.
  • Following the win over Fordham, Holy Cross moved to 296 in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings. They rank 266th (102.3) in offensive rating and 300th (113.3) in defensive rating.
SCOUTING THE PRIDE (6-3, 0-0 GNAC): 
  • Regis is back in action following a 79-60 win on the road at Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Dec. 4. Aamyr Sullivan scored a career-high 25 points with nine rebounds and four assists in the victory.
  • The Pride were selected to finish in eighth place out of 13 programs in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll earning 71 points. Regis finished 2024-25 with a 10-15, 5-9 GNAC record.
  • Sullivan ranks tied for third in the GNAC assists (48) which ranks 11th in NCAA Division III. His 5.3 assist per game mark is third in the conference and 27th in the country. Ned Fitzpatrick, one of the top long range threats for the Pride is fourth in the conference in three-point percentage (48.1). As a team, Regis is tied for the GNAC lead in three-pointers (76) and lead the conference in three-pointer attempts per game (27.6).
  • Pride head coach Nathan Hager is entering his 19th campaign leading the program since its inception in 2007. The only head coach in program history, Hager, a one-time conference champion (2015) and NCAA Tournament bid coach (2015), earned his 200th career win in the 2025-26 season opener on Nov. 10, 2025, a 77-71 win at Anna Maria.
LAST TIME THEY MET: 
  • Holy Cross is 2-0 (1.000) in the series history against Regis which began back in 2021.
  • In their last meeting on Dec. 29, 2024, the Crusaders rolled to an 82-46 win against the Pride. Then-freshman Aidan Richard scored 13 points with three three-pointers, two rebounds, an assists and a steal.
