WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross men's ice hockey senior
Mack Oliphant has been named Atlantic Hockey Defenseman of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
Oliphant finished the weekend series against Sacred Heart with two points on a goal and an assist, two blocked shots, and a +2 rating.
In Thursday's matchup, Oliphant scored a power play goal, the second of his career, to extend the Crusader lead to 4-2 with 9:46 to play in the third period. He picked up an assist on senior
Michael Abgrall's opening score in the game seven minutes into the first period.
Holy Cross (3-5-1, 3-1-1 AHA) returns to the Hart Center Rink when they host Niagara for a two-game set on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for both games at
