The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team will be back in action with a pair of home games against Maine on Nov. 14 and 15. Both games will be shown on ESPN+, with Friday's game starting at 7 p.m. and Saturday's contest beginning at 5 p.m.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 9-4-0 with a 2-3-0 mark in Hockey East play. Last weekend, the Crusaders swept a pair of games from Merrimack, winning both contests by a score of 2-1. Freshman forward
Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. Senior forward
Lane Lewis has added two goals and eight assists for 10 points, while freshman forward
Naemi Herzig has nine points on four goals and five assists. In net, senior goaltender
Abby Hornung stands 6-2-0 this season with a 1.52 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.
Maine enters the weekend with an overall record of 3-7-1 and a 1-2-1 mark in Hockey East games. The Black Bears split a series with Boston University last weekend, winning the first game (3-1) before dropping the second game (2-1). Freshman forward Isabelle Michaud leads the team in scoring with three goals and four assists for seven points, while senior forward Ava Stevenson has added six points on two goals and four assists. Sophomore goaltender Kiia Lahtinen stands 3-7-1 with a 2.60 goals against average and a .924 save percentage.
After the series with Maine, Holy Cross will play a home-and-home series with New Hampshire on Nov. 21 and 22.
