WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman forward Violet Carroll has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week, for competition from October 13-19. Carroll tallied three points on one goal and two assists as the Crusaders swept two games from Dartmouth over the weekend.

During Friday's 3-2 win over the Big Green, Carroll assisted on two of Holy Cross' goals. Then in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Dartmouth, she scored what proved to be the game-winning goal during the first period.

Overall this season, Carroll is tied for the team-lead in scoring with six points on two goals and four assists.

Holy Cross (5-2 overall, 0-1 Hockey East) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 24, when it plays host to Post at 7 p.m.
