Violet Carroll and sophomore
Skyler Sharfman both scored goals, as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team defeated Dartmouth 2-0 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders improve to 5-2 on the season, while the Big Green fall to 0-2 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Holy Cross opened the scoring in the first period, when Carroll scored off a feed from senior
Lane Lewis.
• The Crusaders increased their lead to 2-0 early in the second period, with Sharfman scoring her first career goal.
• Neither team would score again, as Holy Cross pulled out the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Senior
Abby Hornung picked up her second career shutout while making 16 saves.
• The Crusaders finished the night with a 40-16 advantage in shots on goal.
• Holy Cross improves to 4-0 at home this season.
NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Oct. 24, when they play host to Post at 7 p.m.
