WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman forward
Naemi Herzig has been selected to compete for the Swiss National Team at the 2025 Lidl Hockey Games, the second stage of the Women's Euro Hockey Tour. Herzig was one of 22 players named to Switzerland's roster for the event, which will take place from Nov. 5–8 in Ängelholm, Sweden, featuring Switzerland, Sweden, Czechia and Finland.
Herzig has made 10 career appearances for the Swiss National Team over the last two years. She has also played in 16 games for the Swiss Under-18 National Team, totaling two goals and four assists.
Currently in her first season with the Crusaders, Herzig has played in all five of Holy Cross' games this year, helping the team to a 3-2-0 record. She is currently tied for the team lead with three assists.
The Swiss will start the Lidl Hockey Games with a game against Finland on Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. On Nov. 7, they will face Sweden at 6 p.m., before concluding the tournament on Nov. 8 against Czechia at 11:30 a.m. (all times local).
