WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman goalkeeper Aubrey Haesche was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for competition from Oct. 6 – 12. This is her third time earning this award this season.
Haesche started in the game at Lafayette and made a total of eight saves. She earned her fifth shutout victory of her debut year. The freshman owns a 5-3-4 overall and a 2-1-2 conference record while helping the Crusaders to a current fourth-place standing. Haesche leads the league in season saves (73) and season shutouts (5) and is second in the conference, averaging 5.62 saves per game with a 0.576 goals against average.
Teammates Sam Halligan, Mary Sommer and Cara Bubonovich all made the honorable mention list due to their efforts in the 1-0 shutout win over the Leopards.
Holy Cross women's soccer (5-5-4, 2-1-2) returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 15, for a 6:00 pm Turnpike Trophy showdown at Boston University (6-4-3, 3-1-1) in Boston, Mass. at Nickerson Field.
