Patrick Ling and senior
Declan O'Flynn had wins in both singles and doubles action, to lead the Holy Cross men's tennis team to a 4-2 victory over Assumption at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 7-11 on the season with the win, while the Greyhounds fall to 8-11 overall.
Holy Cross opened the day by claiming the doubles points with a pair of victories. O'Flynn and junior
William Kelleher downed Bernardo Balancho and Adrian Toderascu 6-2 at the No. 2 spot, while Ling and junior
Connor Nelson defeated Santiago Alvarez and Rhonzo Olaechea 6-3 at No. 3.
The Crusaders then clinched the overall victory with three wins in singles action. O'Flynn led the way by taking down Toderascu 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 3 spot. Ling added a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Jakob Bordt at No. 5, while freshman
Camilo Illanes defeated Alan Nguyen 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6.
The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, April 16, when they play host to Bucknell at 12 p.m.
