Men’s tennis falls to Boston University

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis fell 4-2 to Patriot League foe Boston University Saturday, April 4 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.

The loss sends the Crusaders to 5-10, 1-3 PL while the Terriers improve to 7-10, 3-1 PL.

DOUBLES PLAY:
  • The Crusaders took the doubles point to lead 1-0 early.
  • Sophomore Ezequiel De la Plaza and freshman Aayush Jhaveri had a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over David Asenov and Payton Jim-On.
  • The junior doubles duo of Matt Carlson and Teddy Callery picked up a close 7-6 win at No. 2 over Jakob Esterowitz and Andrew Andea.
SINGLES ACTION:
  • The Terriers picked up wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles for the victory.
  • Carlson got the best of Esterowitz again winning at No. 2, 3-6,6-3, 6-2.
NEXT UP:
  • The Crusaders start a three match week beginning on Wednesday, April 8 at home against Southern New Hampshire (6-8, 2-3 NE10)..
