Taj Salawu will serve as the captains of the 2022 Holy Cross men's soccer team, as announced by head coach
Marco Koolman.
McGonigle will be in his third season as a team captain, becoming just the fifth three-time captain in program history. Last year, he started 18 games for the Crusaders, ranking fifth on the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists. A third team All-Patriot League selection in the spring of 2021, McGonigle has totaled four goals and six assists for 14 points in 30 career games played.
Ostroksy started 18 games for Holy Cross last season and ranked fifth on the team with 1,569 minutes played. He recorded two goals and two assists on the year for six points, with both of his goals be game winners. A two-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and a Patriot League All-Tournament selection in the spring of 2021, Ostrosky has 13 points on four goals and five assists in 34 career games played.
Salawu, who will be in his second year as one of the Crusaders' captains, played in 19 games with 17 starts last season. He helped lead the team to a 1.52 goals against average and four shutouts, while playing 1,524 minutes. A three-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and a Patriot League All-Tournament selection in the spring of 2021, Salawu has played in 36 career games with 33 starts.
