WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team had its first home race of the 2022 spring season, competing for the Alumni Cup against Columbia, Dartmouth and MIT on Lake Quinsigamond. The Crusaders placed fourth third in the varsity eight, while coming in third in the second varsity eight and the third varsity eight, and second in the fourth varsity eight. 

In the varsity eight, 20th-ranked Holy Cross finished with a time of 6:06.36, coming in behind No. 4 Dartmouth (5:46.9), No. 17 Columbia (5:59.77) and MIT (6:04.99). Dartmouth then won the second varsity eight in a time of 5:53.87, followed by Columbia (6:14.1), the Crusaders (6:17.93) and MIT (6:25.76). The order of finish in the third varsity eight was Dartmouth A (5:54.1), Dartmouth B (5:55.47), Holy Cross (6:18.41), Columbia (6:29.26) and MIT (6:36.28). Dartmouth also won the fourth varsity eight (6:14.7), with the Crusaders placing second (6:43.96).

Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, April 10, when it takes part in the Occoquan Invitational on the Occoquan River in Fairfax Station, Va.
