Holy Cross Athletics

2021-2022 (Senior):

• Competed in all four fall events.
  • Helped the first varsity eight to 2nd at the Snake Regatta (10/17), 7th at the Head of the Charles on the Charles (10/24), and 19th at the Princeton Chase Regatta (11/7).
  • Helped the second varsity eight to 2nd at the Wormtown Chase Regatta (10/30).
• Competed in five spring events.
  • Raced with the varsity eight once, and the second varsity eight four times.
  • Helped the second varsity eight to a second place finish at New England Championships (4/30).
  • Placed sixth at the Eastern Sprints (5/15) with the varsity eight.

2020-2021 (Junior):

• Saw action in all five events on the season, rowing in the varsity eight twice and the second varsity eight three times.
• Part of the varsity eight that finished 19th at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship.
• Helped the Crusaders to a 15th place team finish at the IRA National Championship, the best in program history.
• Fall portion of season canceled due to COVID-19.

2019-2020 (Sophomore):

• Did not compete in any fall races.
• Spring portion of season canceled due to COVID-19.

2018-2019 (Freshman):

• Competed in six races in the third varsity eight boat.

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Rowed for the Cambridge Boat Club under head coaches Greg Myhr and C.B. Sands.
• Placed sixth in the youth single at the Northeast Youth Championship in 2018.
• Placed fourth overall in the youth single at the Amber Zapatka Memorial Regatta in 2018.
• Selected to the Honor Roll in his junior and senior years.

PERSONAL:

• Son of Daniel and Karla Hanify.
• Has one sister (Paloma).
• Majoring in English.
