Women’s lacrosse hits the road to face Colgate

The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday, April 20, when it travels to Colgate for a 5:00 p.m. game.

Things to Know About the Crusaders (5-8, 2-4 PL):
• Holy Cross stands 5-8 so far this season with a 2-4 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders are coming off a 13-9 setback against No. 24 Navy on Saturday.
• In 12 games played this year, senior Jolie Creo has totaled a team-high 67 points on 46 goals and 21 assists. She leads the Patriot League with averages of 3.83 goals and 5.58 points per game, marks which stand 14th and eighth in the nation, respectively. Creo is also closing in on the school single-season record for total points which is currently held by Patricia Sutton (75 points in both 2006 and 2007). During the Lafayette game, Creo tied her season high with 10 points on five goals and five assists. She previously totaled 10 points on six goals and four assists at Long Island, while posting a season-best seven goals and one assist against Brown. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now recorded 127 goals and 47 assists for 174 points in 42 games played. Creo currently ranks fifth all-time at Holy Cross in points, goals scored and assists.
• In the Lafayette game, senior Grace Flink made a season-high 15 saves while allowing just four goals for a .789 save percentage. She then had 12 saves against No. 24 Navy, marking the seventh time this season she has reached double figures in saves. Overall this season, Flink stands 5-8 with a 13.50 goals against average and 115 saves. In her collegiate career, Flink owns a 12-15 record with a 12.36 goals against average and 261 saves, while her .462 career save percentage is the seventh-best mark in school history
• Freshman Isabela Miller led the team with five goals and one assist during the victory over Boston University. She previously scored a career-high six goals at Long Island, the most by a Holy Cross freshman in a single game since Laura Ryan had six goals against Bucknell on April 7, 2012. Miller now ranks third on the team in scoring this season with 28 points on 22 goals and six assists, while recording seven multi-point games. 
• Creo and Flink joined by seniors Jordyn Arakelian, Lauren Cunning and Margaret Mitchell as the Crusaders' captains this season.

Scouting the Raiders (3-11, 2-4 PL):
• Colgate stands 3-11 overall this season with a 2-4 mark in the Patriot League. Last Saturday, the Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak with a 13-12 victory over Lafayette.
• Sophomore Kyra Lucey has led the team in scoring with 35 points on 18 goals and 17 assists this year. 
• Sophomore Catie Lang is also having a strong season with 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points.

Series History:
• This will be the 39th all-time meeting between Holy Cross and Colgate. The Raiders lead the series 26-12 and have won the last five games between the schools.
• Holy Cross and Colgate last met on March 13, 2021, when the Raiders posted a 12-9 victory in Worcester.
