Levy-Smith earns fifth consecutive Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Racheli Levy-Smith has been named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, for competition from March 9-15. This marks the fifth straight week she has earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the longest streak in conference history.

In Holy Cross' lone game last week, Levy-Smith helped lead the Crusaders to a 12-9 victory at Lehigh. She totaled 13 draw controls, two caused turnovers and one ground ball in the game, while leading a defense that held the Mountain Hawks to just nine goals on the day.

On the year, Levy-Smith now has 83 draw controls, 21 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls. Over the course of her career with the Crusaders, she has totaled a school-record 367 draw controls, 89 ground balls and 68 caused turnovers. 

Holy Cross (4-4 overall, 2-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Saturday, March 21, when it plays host to No. 4 Navy at 12 p.m.
