The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team returns home this Thursday, April 1, when it plays host to Army West Point at 1:00 p.m.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (2-3, 1-2 PL):
• Holy Cross owns an overall record of 2-3 on the year with a 1-2 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak, after falling to Massachusetts (19-8) and Boston University (17-12) in their last two contests.
• Junior
Jolie Creo has led the team in scoring with 31 points on 22 goals and nine assists so far this season. She has scored at least three goals in every game this year, including a school single-game record 11 points on eight goals and three assists in the victory over Merrimack. During Saturday's contest at Boston University, Creo totaled seven points on four goals and three assists. In 29 career games played, she has now totaled 102 points on 76 goals and 26 assists.
• Senior
Izzy Grant currently ranks second on the team in scoring with 12 goals. She scored two goals during Saturday's game at Boston University, and previously recorded a career-best five goals against both Lafayette and Merrimack. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, Grant has now recorded 56 points on 52 goals and four assists in 42 games played.
• Senior
Catherine Guanci has been playing well recently, totaling at least two points in each of her last three games. She scored three goals at UMass, while recording a goal and two assists in the win over Merrimack and posting one goal and one assist at Boston University. In her collegiate career, Guanci now has 37 goals and 12 assists for 49 points in 47 games played.
Scouting the Black Knights (0-3, 0-2 PL):
• Army stands 0-3 overall this season with an 0-2 record in Patriot League play. The Black Knights are coming off a narrow 13-12 setback against Navy last Saturday.
• Junior Caroline Raymond has led the team in scoring with nine points on eight goals and one assist. She totaled a season-high five points on four goals and one assist in the Navy game.
• Freshman Madeline Lenkart is also off to a strong start this season, recording six points on five goals and one assist.
Series History:
• Holy Cross holds a 3-1 lead in the all-time series between the schools.
• The last meeting took place on March 27, 2019, with the Black Knights winning 19-13 at West Point behind six goals from Jackie Brattan.
