HARTFORD, Conn. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team opened the 2021 fall season by racing in the Head of the Riverfront on the Connecticut River.
The Crusaders took part in two events on the day. In the women's open single, junior
Josie Ascione finished in fifth place overall with a time of 21:16.84. Her time was the second fastest of all collegiate competitors in the event.
In the women's open four, Holy Cross' boat of freshman

Lauren Colby and senior coxswain
Allie Russo came in 10th with a time of 18:46.04.
The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, Oct. 17, when they take part in the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta.
