BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team had three boats take part in the Head of the Charles on the Charles River this weekend.
In the collegiate eight race on Sunday, the Crusaders' varsity eight finished in seventh place out of 41 boats with a time of 15:16.932. Holy Cross also had two boats racing in the club eight on Saturday. The second varsity eight finished in 16th place out of 35 boats in that event (15:37.910), while the third varsity eight came in 26th (16:08.017).
In addition to the current Crusaders competing over the weekend, a number of Holy Cross alumni also took part in the Head of the Charles. Among the top performers was coxswain Ally Sullivan (Class of 2019), who helped lead the Riverside Boat Club to a gold medal in the club eight.
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 30, when it takes part in the Wormtown Chase Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond.
