Women's basketball to host Colgate for weekend series

The Holy Cross women's basketball team will host a pair of contests against Colgate on Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17. Tipoff on Saturday is set for 3 p.m., while Sunday's game will tip off at 2 p.m.

Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

Holy Cross (2-2, 2-2 Patriot League) at a Glance:
  • The Crusaders swept Army West Point in a historic weekend series, earning an 80-46 victory on Saturday, Jan. 9 at West Point and a 61-42 win on Sunday, Jan. 10 in Worcester.
  • The 80-46 victory, in which five Crusaders scored in double figures, marked Holy Cross head coach Maureen Magarity's first win with the program; Magarity also emerged victorious in the first father-daughter head coaching matchup in Division I history.
  • The 34-point win was the largest margin of victory by Holy Cross since the 2011 season, when the Crusaders recorded an 83-46 win against Lafayette on Feb. 5.
  • Sophomore guard Addisyn Cross set a career high with 11 points in the win at Army, and scored 11 points again at home on Sunday.

  • Colgate dropped a pair of contests against Boston University last Saturday and Sunday, falling by scores of 79-51 and 62-58.
  • Alexa Brodie currently ranks third in the Patriot League and leads the team with an average of 16.3 points per game; Keelah Dixon is averaging 14.8 points per game.
  • Colgate has fallen in three straight contests after a season-opening victory over Army West Point.
  • The Raiders average 62.2 points per game, while allowing opponents to score 72.2 points per game.
  • Colgate was selected to finish sixth in the Patriot League's preseason poll.
