Women’s basketball to face Michigan in NCAA Tournament First Round

WORCESTER, Mass. — The 14-time Patriot League Champion Holy Cross women's basketball program earned a #15 seed in the Fort Worth 3 regional of the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and will square off against #2 seeded and #9 nationally-ranked Michigan, as announced on Sunday, March 16.

Holy Cross will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the match up on Friday, March 20, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 with Beth Mowins, Debbie Antonelli, and Jess Sims on the call. The winner will move on to the second round on Sunday, March 22. The Crusaders have won nine straight games, 13 of their last 14 contests, and sit at 23-9 after winning the Patriot League Championship, defeating Lehigh 77-70 Sunday. The Wolverines own a 25-6 overall record and a 15-3 mark in Big Ten play.
