Prior to the contest, Holy Cross recognized the five members of its senior class: Manis, Swords, Kathryn Pedi, Nicole Morris and Madalyn Smith.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Holy Cross was able to push its advantage as high as eight points, 27-19, with 5:54 to go in the half after LaBarbera hit another basket. With the Crusaders leading 29-23, Graham hit back-to-back threes; she later hit another 3-pointer and Thompson made a layup to push the Raiders' lead to four, 35-31, with 33 seconds remaining in the half.
  • Manis had a layup to close out the first half and help Holy Cross cut within two points, but the Raiders quickly built a six-point lead to begin the third quarter. Pedi drained a 3-pointer with 6:58 left in the third, but the Raiders began to pull away, extending their lead to 10 after a layup by Holly Lueken.
  • Holy Cross cut within six points at multiple points early in the fourth quarter, but Colgate had a response, pushing its lead as high as 11, 66-55, with 4:41 remaining. LaBarbera had a pair of free throws to make it a five-point game with 3:41 left, but Taylor Langan immediately responded with a 3-pointer to push the lead back to eight for Colgate.
