Women's lacrosse heads to Brown

The Crusaders continue out of conference play with a 4:00 p.m. game at Brown on March 3. The game will be available on ESPN+ and NESN.
 
Quick Sticks
• Holy Cross picked up its fourth win of the 2020 season with a commanding victory over Hartford, 19-5.
• The Crusaders held a 13-1 lead at the half over the Hawks.
Grace Flink has led the Crusaders, the Patriot League, and the nation between the pipes with a .641 save percentage.
• As a team, Holy Cross' defense ranks first nationally with a .636 save percentage and 6.40 goals against average.
Haley Walker is averaging 1.80 caused turnovers per game, to rank third in the Patriot League.  Walker also ranks fifth in ground balls per game (2.60). The junior defender has caused nine turnovers this season to lead Holy Cross.
• To lead the team in scoring, Jolie Creo has posted 18 goals and three assists for 21 points through four games. Creo ranks fourth in Patriot League scoring.
• At the draw, three players have reached the double-digit mark. Margaret Mitchell leads the way with 16, while Creo owns 12, and Bryn Carroll has picked up 11.

• At a .636 save percentage, Grace Flink currently leads the nation.
 
Scouting Brown
• Brown owns a 2-2 record with wins over Siena and Bryant. The Bears dropped their last two outings in close games, falling by two at Boston College and in overtime to Dartmouth.
• Through four games, Sophia DeRosa and Risa Mosenthal have each scored a team-high 11 goals.
• Mason Warble has picked up 19 draw controls and Emmie Lau has picked up 16 to lead the team at the circle.
• Defensively, Allison Lanzone leads the Bears with five caused turnovers.
• Erin Tucker has played in net for all four games and owns a .443 save percentage and 9.78 goals against average.
 
All-time against the Bears
• Brown owns the all-time series, 18-3.
• The Crusaders and Bears last faced in the 2018 season, where Brown took the game, 17-6.
