WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross will play a best-of-three series at Robert Morris in the Atlantic Hockey First Round of playoffs. The Crusaders and Colonials will face off on March 8-10 at 7:00 p.m. in Pittsburgh.

Talking Points

• The Crusaders and Colonials finished in a tie for eighth place in the league, with the tie breaker going to the Colonials. Holy Cross will play as the ninth seeded team in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.

• At the conclusion of the regular season, Holy Cross is led by three Crusaders. Mitch Collett, Johnny Coughlin, and Anthony Vincent all have tallied 21 points on the season.

• Collett has recorded six of his 21 points in his last four games played (2-4-6).

• Michael Laffin has recorded a team-best 10 goals on the season. It is the second time in his career that he has hit the 10-goal mark on a season.

• At Air Force, Holy Cross brought home their first overtime victory. The Crusaders own a 1-0-5 overtime record on the season.

• Since the Crusaders victory at Sacred Heart on Jan. 26, the Crusaders have played to a 6-3-2 record in their last 11 games.

• Tommy Nixon has played five of those games, with a 1.77 goals against average and .935 save percentage. He has also posted a 3-1-1 record.

• In Holy Cross last 11 games, Collett leads the team with 11 points in 10 games played (4-7-11).

• Four Crusaders have tallied eight goals and Michael Laffin leads with five goals.

February Crusaders

• The Crusaders added wins against RIT and Robert Morris, including a 2-0 shutout against the Colonials for the second time this season.

• Tommy Nixon played three games to a 2-0-1 record in the month. He posted a .953 save percentage and 1.31 goals against average.

Holy Cross vs. Robert Morris in the Playoffs

• The Crusaders' have encountered the Colonials in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs for the last three seasons.

• Holy Cross is 0-4 against Robert Morris in the playoffs.

• The Crusaders hosted the Colonials in the 4-5 series in the 2018 playoffs and Holy Cross traveled to Robert Morris in the 4-5 match up in the 2017 playoffs.

League Leaders

• At the conclusion of the regular season, Anthony Vincent ranked 12th in the league in assists with 16.

• Johnny Coughlin ranks seventh in defeseman scoring, having posted 19 points in league play.

• The Colonials finished the season with a weekend sweep of Mercyhurst, winning in overtime (5-4) on March 1, and winning on March 2 (4-3).

• Robert Morris finished the regular season with an 11-15-2 Atlantic Hockey record.

• Francis Marotte has played in all 34 games, to a .902 save percentage and a 3.06 goals against average.

• On the power play, the Colonials holds an 18.1% conversion rate. Conversely, Robert Morris owns a 81.6% success rate on the penalty kill.
