WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team fell to Colgate, 7-0, Saturday afternoon in its opening Patriot League match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Colgate swept the doubles competition to earn one team point.
• Will Chen put up a good fight at No. 1 singles, but ultimately lost, 1-6, 6-7 (5-7).
• Henry Harrs' match at No. 6 singles was also close, but he fell, 6-8.
• Alexander Ruenhorst won at least three games in each set at No. 3 singles, but lost 3-6, 4-6.
