WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross will travel to Burlington to take on Vermont for its first road game of the 2019 season on Feb. 16 at 12:00 p.m.
Quick Sticks
• The Crusaders opened the 2019 season at home against Providence. Holy Cross fell, 12-5.
• Returning netminder, Jonathan Tesoro made 13 saves in the game on Feb. 9. Tesoro played to a .520 save percentage.
• Kevin Kodzis led Holy Cross with one goal and one assist. Kodzis' two points continues his point streak to the last 10 games, dating back to March 4, 2018.
• Dan O'Connell earned a spot on the Patriot League honor roll with one goal and seven ground balls. O'Connell won 13-of-21 face offs for a .619 win percentage.
Holy Cross in 2018
• The Crusaders finished the 2018 season with a 4-9 record and 2-6 Patriot League mark.
• Holy Cross went 3-2 in their final five games of th season, defeating Quinnipiac, Colgate, and Lafayette.
• On Feb. 20, Holy Cross recorded the program's first win over Harvard in a thrilling 10-9 overtime win in Cambridge.
• Head coach Peter Burke has taken the reigns of the program, after being named interim head coach on June 29. Burke previously served as an assistant coach for three seasons on the Hill.
• As a team, Holy Cross scored 6.69 goals per game and posted 36.3 shots per game. The team finished with a .565 face off winning percentage.
Scouting Vermont
• The Catamounts host the Crusaders for their first home game of the 2019 season.
• Most recently, Vermont fell to Patriot League opponent, Navy (13-8).
• Dawes Milchling leads the Catamounts with eight points on three goals and five assists.
• Andrew Simeon leads with nine ground balls and has added a team-high two caused turnovers.
• Nick Washuta resides between the pipes for Vermont. He has started both games for the Catamounts for a 9.65 goals against average and a .457 save percentage.
