WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior forward Ang Seslija has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 15-21. Seslija helped lead the Holy Cross women's soccer team to a 1-1 record in a pair of games last week.
After being held scoreless in Wednesday's 1-0 loss at Colgate, Seslija scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 1-0 double overtime victory at Army West Point. After a shot by sophomore Jenna Barnes was saved, she corralled the rebound, settled it and sent the ball into the back of the net to give the Crusaders the win and move the team into fifth place in the Patriot League standings.
On the season, Seslija leads the team in scoring with nine points on two goals and five assists. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has now totaled 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points.
The Crusaders (5-11 overall, 3-5 Patriot League) return to action on Friday, Oct. 26, when they play host to Lehigh at 7:05 p.m. with a bid to the Patriot League Tournament on the line.
