WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team defeated St. Anselm, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon in Manchester, N.H.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Crusaders swept the doubles competition with freshmen Will Chen and Alexander Ruenhorst winning at No. 1 6-2, sophomore Matthew Slowinski and senior Peter Campito winning at No. 2 7-5, and junior Matthew Murphy and senior Michael Varda victorious at No. 3 6-1.
- Chen also won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
- At No. 2 singles, Ruenhorst got the W by way of 6-2, 6-4 scores.
- Slowinski won his No. 3 singles match, 6-2, 6-0.
- Camptio was victorious at No. 4 singles, 5-7, 6-4 (11-9).
- Murphy and Varda wrapped things up by winning their matches 6-0, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 and 6 singles respectively.
