Holy Cross Athletics

Junior Matt Carlson of the Holy Cross men’s tennis team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from April 6-12.
 
Carlson appeared in all three matches for the Crusaders this past week going 2-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles action. He earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles at home against Southern New Hampshire (April 8). In a 4-3 non-conference victory against Merrimack (April 10), Carlson had a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles and a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles. At Loyola (Md.) (April 12), Carlson picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.
 
Carlson is an undefeated 4-0 in Patriot League singles matches in 2026.
 
Holy Cross is back in action on Tuesday, April 14 at home against Sacred Heart (4-13, 3-5 MAAC) at 3 p.m.
