WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team fell to Delaware by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in its first home game of the season. Both teams started strong in the first half, but the Blue Hens were the first team on the board as Carlos Perales found the back of the net with a long shot off a free kick in the 31st minute. The Crusaders tallied five shots on goal in the first half, but were unable to find a tying goal.

Delaware put together a strong second half, outshooting Holy Cross 5-3. The Blue Hens made it a 2-0 game in the 60th minute as Perales scored on a penalty kick opportunity. Despite generating a pair of scoring chances late in the second half, Holy Cross was unable to find  the back of the net.
