WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross field hockey team fell to #14 Harvard by a score of 7-0 on Wednesday night in Worcester. Hannah Wellington added the first two goals for the Crimson in the ninth and 22nd minutes of play. Harvard would add two more goals before the end of the first half as they controlled the action through the first 35 minutes.

The Crimson continued their pressure in the second half, scoring a pair of quick goals in the 42nd and 44th minutes of play. Senior Maureen Connolly and junior Emily Loprete each registered a scoring chance in the second half, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Despite allowing three goals in the second half, sophomore Marcia LaPlante made 12 saves in the final 35 minutes.
