WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior midfielder Julia Carrozza, junior midfielder Maguire Sturgis, and sophomore goalkeeper Mia McCloskey were named to the 2025 Academic All-Patriot League field hockey team, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
 
Carrozza started all 16 games for the Crusaders this season, tying her career-highs in points (7) and goals (2), adding three assists. A two-year captain, Carrozza finishes her Holy Cross career with 65 games played, 50 games started, and 22 points on six goals and ten assists. A biology major, Carrozza holds a 3.87 GPA.

Sturgis had a career year on the midfield line for the Crusaders in 2025, recording career-highs in points, goals, and game-winning goals. Sturgis' nine goals and 23 points led Holy Cross and ranked sixth and fifth in the Patriot League, respectively, during the regular season. A biology major, Sturgis carries a 3.60 GPA.

McCloskey backstopped all 16 games for Holy Cross this season, finishing with a 6-10 record. McCloskey's 7.69 saves per game and 123 saves this season led the Patriot League and ranked ninth and tenth in the nation, respectively, during the regular season. Her 2.58 goals-against average ranked fourth in the Patriot League and her .750 save percentage was a career best that ranked third in the Patriot League. A mathematics major, McCloskey holds a 3.75 GPA.
 
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key reserve.
