Holy Cross Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kit Hughes announced on Thursday, Nov. 6 that the College will make a change in the leadership of the field hockey program, parting ways with head coach Lindsay Jackson.
"We are grateful for Lindsay's leadership and her commitment to Holy Cross over the last 11 years," Hughes said. "She has guided numerous student-athletes to become tremendous representatives of the College, and we wish her well in her future endeavors."
Holy Cross Field Hockey began varsity competition at the College in 1974 and is a proud member of the Patriot League, with 16 tournament appearances and three tournament championships in its history. Now in its fourth decade as an all-sport conference combining academic and athletic excellence, the Patriot League's mission is simple: to provide successful competitive athletic experiences while maintaining high academic standards, and to prepare its student-athletes to be leaders in society.
"There is a strong culture and a rich tradition in our field hockey program," Hughes said. "I am confident that our next head coach will continue to develop exceptional leaders, while also elevating our standard for competitive success in the years to come."
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
