WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was defeated by the Loyola Greyhounds in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 21, 3-0. The Crusaders move to 4-8-2 and 2-3-1 in Patriot League play, while Loyal improves to 5-1 in league play and 9-4-1 overall.
Loyola started off the scoring in the fourth minute when Brian Saramago scored on a penalty kick.
In the 53rd minute, the Greyhounds extended their lead to 2-0 when Josh Fawole settled a long ball and shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Loyola's Barry Sharifi scored five minutes later to increase the Greyhound lead at 3-0.

Loyola outshot Holy Cross, 12-7.
Henry Stutz made two saves, each in the second half.
The Crusaders recorded three shots on goal in the second half.
Neither team recorded a shot on goal in the opening 45 minutes.
