KOOLMAN'S KORNER:
- “We did not play well in the first half," said head coach Marco Koolman. "You can't allow that many goals so early on in the game and expect to be able to win. We played a lot better in the second half as we did not allow a shot on goal and had a lot of chances to score. As we prepare to take on Lafayette on Saturday, we need to play with the same determination we did tonight in the second half throughout the entire game.”
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Freshman goalkeeper Bobby Hurstak made one save, while Jonathan Thuresson posted four saves for the Huskies.
- The Crusaders outshot the Huskies, 18-7. Holy Cross took five shots on goal and Northeastern posted four.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Rupp is tied for second on the team with four goals. He now has nine career goals.
UP NEXT:
- The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, October 22, when they travel to Easton, Pa., to take on Patriot League opponent Lafayette at 7:00 p.m.
