WEST POINT, N.Y. – Freshman forward
Archie Hatcher tallied a hat trick, to lead the Holy Cross men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Army West Point at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field. The Crusaders improve to 4-6-5 overall and 1-3-2 in the Patriot League, while the Black Knights fall to 4-5-5 on the year and 2-3-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Army opened the game by jumping out to a 2-0 lead, with goals from Jack De Simone in the 20th minute and Riley Cullum in the 46th minute.
• Hatcher put Holy Cross on the board in the 61st minute, when he one-timed the ball in from 12 yards out in the left side of the box.
• In the 77th minute, Hatcher tied up the game at 2-2, when he took a pass from freshman midfielder
Jack Fiedler and knocked it in from eight yards out in the center of the box.
• Then in the 88th minute, Hatcher dribbled into the left side of the box before scoring the game winning goal from 10 yards out.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The Crusaders finished the game with a 10-6 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
• Hatcher's hat trick was just the second by a Holy Cross player since 2013, and the first since
Evan Jones in 2022.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 26, when it plays host to Colgate at 3 p.m.
