The Lead: Qualifying members of the men's indoor track and field team began action at the 2015 New England Indoor Championship on Friday afternoon as junior Lucas Keefer (Yonkers, N.Y.) led the Crusaders with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run and set a Holy Cross record with a time of 1.52.38.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sophomore Michael Andre (Feeding Hills, Mass.) followed Keefer in the 800-meter run in 15th with a new career-high time of 1:54.27.
• Senior co-captain Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.) and junior Francisco Tejidor (Coral Gables, Fla.) led the way for the Crusaders in the 1,000-meter run as they took the top-two spots. Dutton placed first (2:27.03, career-best) while Tejidor followed in second (2:27.46, career-best).
• In the 400-meter dash, senior co-captain Mike Galasso (Danvers, Mass.) finished 11th with a time of 49.43 while sophomore Matt Greco (Eagleville, Pa.) finished the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:09.65 and 15th place finish.
• In the field events, junior Tim Dunn (Fords, N.J.) represented Holy Cross in the pole vault as he cleared a height of 4.50 meters and a seventh-place finish.

• The 2015 New England Indoor Championship will continue tomorrow, Feb. 28, at 10:00 a.m.
